It is important to have great interpersonal skills to insure that you can provide your guest with the best service, so that you and your business can be successful. But what we need to discuss is how to communicate with the team you work with. Have you ever heard the saying " your as strong as your weakest link"? well your team can only be strong if they are united, and focused with the same goal.

So keep in mind when conducting new trainings with your team, on either new product or policy, that everyone learns differently. Adult learners require different techniques in order to gain and retain information (TEAL, 2011). Here is some great information to look over when conducting your next team meeting and educating your team on the latest and greatest.

Here you will find the different types of adult learners and the best techniques to cater to their learning style

Now that we understand how members of our team think and learn, lets discuss how to build a strong team.

When working in a group, communication can be productive and healthy.Usually long lasting relationships are formed and tasks get completed in an orderly and timely manner. However, if a group is lacking communication there can be problems and tensions among its members, and could potentially create a negative and unproductive work environment (Small group communication in the work place, 2014) .

In the past I was part of a team where we had to conduct, collect, and analyze research and discuss with organizations the best methods and ideologies which promoted healthy, and productive work environments. The results are as followed:

1. Allow for open communication between members.

2. Mutual respect between management and subordinate is crucial.

3. Allow for team building exercises and team bonding events.

4. Having regular team meeting allows employees to discuss issues in a proactive manner.

These are just a few tips that will further improve your groups communication and promote productivity and a satisfying work environment.
