I can not stress this enough, having communication skills is very important and an absolute necessity in this field, particularly interpersonal communication skills. As beauty gurus we will spend most of our time dealing directly with customer in an intimate, one on one setting, so it is important to understand the benefits of using quality interpersonal skills. Such benefits include confidence and social benefits when dealing with customers, as well as reducing anxiety and creating trust (Bitner, Gwinner, & Gremler, p.109, 1998). Providing such service and care will create strong relationships with your guest and ensure their return business.
